Meridian has truly come into its own and branched out as much more than just a suburb of Boise. With several large companies and employers like Scentsy, Inc, St. Luke's Health System and Blue Cross of Idaho along with more housing availability in contract with the high demand of Boise real estate, it’s undeniable that Meridian has just as much to offer its residents as Boise. It’s also a popular draw for prospective medical students looking to earn a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine (ICOM) is a private, for-profit osteopathic medical school founded in 2016. ICOM is located at the Meridian campus of Idaho State University and is the only medical school in Idaho.
