Cypress Park is a 7-acre neighborhood park that features a playground, picnic shelter, restroom, walking path, tennis court and open play areas. Ivywild Park is approximately 18 acres. The park's most recognizable feature is the outdoor Ivywild Pool, which includes a toddler pool and slides. Simplot Sports Complex is a 161-acre Large Special Use Area. Baseball, soccer and a playground can be found here. Popular trails can be found in the Oregon Trail Reserve which features gorgeous views and easy hiking for family and mountain biking.

    If you enjoy the outdoors, you’ll love year-round hiking along the historic Oregon Trail, taking a walk and birdwatching along the Boise River’s paved Greenbelt path. June through August you’ll find rafters putting in at Barber Park for a leisurely float down the river to cool off (boat/tube rentals available, and bussing to return to Barber Park). Take a short 5-minute drive to Lucky Peak Reservoir where boating and swimming is a popular activity or picnic at Lucky Peak State Park. Southeast Boise is also home to Bown Crossing, a walkable hip neighborhood dining, brewery and retail shopping area with outdoor patios that is also home to a great Library! Easily accessible to everything East Boise and downtown by bicycle or vehicle, you’ll also love Boise’s Shakespeare Festival, outdoor concerts and nature events at the Botanical Gardens, Art Museum, Discovery Center, restaurants, shopping, and football, basketball and concerts at Boise State University venues.
