Star, ID Homes and Neighborhoods
Star sits west of Eagle on State Highway 44, the same corridor that runs on through Eagle toward Boise and west to Middleton. Most of the city is in northwestern Ada County, but parts of it reach across the line into Canyon County, and the Boise River runs along its southern edge. Buyers look here for homes on the western side of the valley, with the river and open country close by.

Schools in Star
Which district serves a home depends on where it sits. The Ada County part of Star is in the West Ada School District, which runs Star Elementary and Star Middle School, while most of the Canyon County part is in the Middleton School District. Attendance boundaries can change, so check the assignment for any address with the district before you rely on what a listing says.
Living in Star
Star Riverwalk Park on South Main Street is the city's doorway to the Boise River. A nature trail follows the river, with benches along the way, a grassy picnic area and spots to fish from the bank. For shopping, dining and work, Highway 44 takes you east to Eagle and Boise, and Meridian and Nampa are a short drive south.

- Is the home on city water and sewer, or on a well and septic system?
- Does the property have irrigation water rights or a pressurized irrigation system, and what are the assessments?
- For a builder home, what does the builder's warranty cover, and is the home finished or still being built?
- Are there farm fields nearby, and what activity comes with them through the seasons?
