Harris Ranch is a master community in east Boise's Barber Valley, set between the Boise Foothills and the Boise River. It grew out of the Harris family's ranch into a part of Boise with lofts, townhomes and single-family homes within reach of the Greenbelt, foothills trails, Barber Park and Lucky Peak. If you want a home with the river and the trails close by, this is one of the first places buyers look in Northeast Boise.
Homes here are a mix of condos and single-family homes, built mostly in the 2010s and 2020s, most of them about 1,000 to 2,500 sq ft on standard-size lots.
The loft buildings come with shared amenities like rooftop decks, social lounges, bike storage and dog wash stations, and residents have access to community pools. Townhomes and single-family homes sit on small lots, so expect more time on the trails than in the yard. Sections within the community include Barber Junction and nearby Harris North.
Plan on HOA dues for nearly every home here. What they cover varies by building and section, from shared landscaping and snow removal to water, sewer and exterior upkeep in some condo buildings, so compare dues against what's included rather than the number alone.
Harris Ranch is in the Boise School District. Dallas Harris Elementary sits within the neighborhood, and some homes are zoned to Riverside Elementary instead. Many homes feed into East Junior High and Timberline High School. Confirm the assignment for the exact address with the district.
The Boise River Greenbelt runs along the neighborhood, foothills trails start just to the north, and Barber Park, Lucky Peak and the shops at Bown Crossing are minutes away. For more on day-to-day life here, see our Harris Ranch neighborhood guide.
Templeton Real Estate knows the Harris Ranch market and can help you make sense of the homes, neighborhoods and prices you are seeing.
