Timberline High School, Boise, ID Real Estate

Timberline High School is the Boise School District's high school for much of southeast Boise. The campus sits at 701 E. Boise Avenue, and the school opened in 1998 in what had been the first Les Bois Junior High building. The homes on this page are listings that name Timberline as their high school, so it's a way to shop by school attendance area rather than by one neighborhood: you'll see established subdivisions near the school, the streets of Harris Ranch out in the Barber Valley, and Columbia Village to the south, spread across the 83706 and 83716 ZIP codes.

The school

Timberline's teams are the Wolves. On its own website the school lists AP and dual credit courses, AVID, Advanced Opportunities, and career and technical programs run through its College and Career Center. It's one of the district's high schools along with Boise, Borah and Capital, each with its own attendance area. For course offerings, activities and enrollment details, the school's site is the place to check, since programs can change from year to year.

Neighborhoods in the Timberline attendance area

Students reach Timberline through two junior highs, East Junior High and Les Bois Junior High, and listings show how that splits across the area:

  • Harris Ranch and the Barber Valley: listings here typically report East Junior High and Timberline, with Dallas Harris, Riverside or Adams named as the elementary depending on the street. Dallas Harris Elementary, built on land donated by the Harris family, serves this part of southeast Boise.
  • Columbia Village: listings typically report Trail Wind Elementary, Les Bois Junior High and Timberline. Les Bois moved here, a few miles east of its original Boise Avenue building, after that building became Timberline.
  • Closer in along Boise Avenue: the neighborhoods around the school itself round out the area. Listings across the attendance area include condos and townhomes as well as single-family houses.

The homes

You can narrow the search by single-family homes, single-level homes, homes with a basement or the newest listings, and see past sales on the sold homes page.

Confirm the school for your address

The high school field on a listing is typed in by the listing agent, so it can be wrong, and attendance boundaries don't follow ZIP codes, mailing addresses or city limits. The district assigns students by the legal residence of their parent or guardian and notes that its maps are a general guide only. Before you write an offer that depends on Timberline, look up the exact address with the district's Attendance Area Address Lookup and, if anything is unclear, call the district's Boundaries and Transportation Office for an official answer.

Questions to ask before making an offer

  • Does the district's address lookup show Timberline, and which elementary and junior high, for this exact address?
  • Is there an HOA, and what do its dues and CC&Rs cover? This matters most in Harris Ranch and other HOA subdivisions.
  • For a condo or townhome, what does the association cover and how healthy are its reserves?
  • If the home is near the Boise River or the foothills, what do the flood zone and wildfire maps show for the lot?
  • Have the roof, furnace, air conditioning and water heater been replaced, and when?

Timberline High School Real Estate FAQs

How do I know if a home is zoned for Timberline High School?

Look up the exact address with the Boise School District's Attendance Area Address Lookup, which shows assigned schools and transportation eligibility. For an official answer, contact the district's Boundaries and Transportation Office.

Which junior high schools feed Timberline High School?

Timberline draws from East Junior High and Les Bois Junior High. Harris Ranch listings typically report East Junior High, while Columbia Village listings typically report Les Bois. Confirm the assignment for a specific address with the district before you buy.
