Warm Springs takes its name from Warm Springs Avenue in east Boise, a street that began building out in the 1890s. The owners of the city's early hot-water system built large homes along it and piped in natural hot water from east of Table Rock, making these some of the first homes in the world heated by geothermal sources. The Warm Springs Avenue Historic District was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979 and became a Boise local historic district in 1996; check with the city's planning division before planning exterior work there.
Buyers look here for that history alongside later subdivisions, and for Warm Springs Golf Course, an 18-hole city-owned course on the banks of the Boise River with the Boise River Greenbelt beside its clubhouse. You can browse golf course homes, luxury homes, the newest listings and sold homes.
